Submissions for the GEO Awards may be made by individual or service provider. Since global equity plans are typically created through a collaboration of in-company and service provider teams we recommend that application be developed with both parties involved. Applicants for the GEO Awards will be asked to explain and demonstrate their efforts and progress in the designated category. There is no fee to apply for the GEO Awards and companies can apply for any, or all, of the four award categories. Applicants do not necessarily have to have plans that are ultimately settled in stock distributions; companies with equity-like plans that model the benefit allocated to employees on a linkage to the performance of corporate stock may also apply for the awards (i.e., Stock Appreciation Rights, Phantom Stock).
